The growing “GREED”

After having certain passing thoughts and analysis regarding the scenario around us,i meditated into thoughts, and came up with the question that many people through out the world have been asking “Just how much GREED is enough??” .The answer could run into the count of millions if we all were to apply our rational and personal viewpoints.Well the straightforward answers on the two extremes could be “None” and “unlimited”

And to justify the two words above we could have a million reasons ,logic, flowcharts, data analysis and what not.

But the question remains the same just how much is enough??especially regarding Human beings or simply putting it “How much extra should i keep from my fellow human beings that can be justified”, an idealist would answer none, A capitalist will say “as much as you can”

But the question remains the same , It will be highly impossible to reach a common census on the issue, So lets address another question which is auxiliary to the first question “How much do you NEED?”, If again we fail to reach a final word, NO SURPRISES , Since its obvious if an person doesn’t know how much he needs it will result in greed.

So we see people around us rolling in money, bathing in money and doing all imaginable and unimaginable things with money,On the other hand we have people just imagining money. We humans have actually given GOD time to rest by creating hell and heaven on earth itself,we have two extreme forms of socio-economic conditions and with the little progress we have made we have made a little middle earth which covers the people in between both extremes.

To the distribution of wealth uniformly we have many -many different and varied opinions,

well all those reasons may seem very faint and unsound once we realize the extent of human suffering in this world. As someone i recall beautifully quoted it as”to giving a small portion of your larger piece so that someone else may have some more” .

In the pursuit of developing economies and infrastructures and racing against the markets and with each other,we seem to have forgotten the basic principle of democracies or organized societies. We formed it in the first place to protect ourselves because we were afraid that someone might get left behind,if we all stayed together and collectively we could all be happy and content.

So is the development of economy as we see it really the development of human being? There is no use of making mighty towers and palaces if people are still malnourished and poor,Think of a society as a large family, we do not spend on luxury by taking away the bread of a person in our family.our family cannot be called developed if we have mighty estates and fancy things with a person in our own family dying of hunger .

Instead of developing we seem to be going the other way round. A Documentary i happened to see very justly called our times -“THE AGE OF STUPID”
